Making Spirits Bright: Give the Gift of Rescue Dog Wines This Holiday Season

Dec 15, 2022 | News, Wines

The holidays are full of festivities. Be the hit of your holiday happy hour and pick the perfect gift for friends, family, and fête hosts with our tips and tricks for gifting wine in a thoughtful way.

Which Wine?

The first step to gifting wine is deciding on the type of wine to give. Rescue Dog Wines range from white to rosé to red, from still to sparkling, and from demi sec to dry, so there’s something for everyone. Not sure what your recipient favors? When in doubt, bubbles are best. Our elegant sparkling offerings are made in the Méthode Champenoise (think small, delicate bubbles) and are always a versatile—and festive!—choice.

Rethink Your Gift Wrap

While a slim gift bag is an easy way to wrap your wine, there are several creative and crafty ways to individualize your present.

Let your wrapping double as a gift by using a tea towel to cover the bottle. Long after the wine is gone, your gift will be reusable for your recipient. Don’t have a tea towel? Use burlap or craft or tissue paper for a creative wrap. Finish it off with ribbon and an ornament to add a hint of the holidays to your gift.

Pairing Your Present

All wines have perfect pairings, and your gift can set the stage. Partner your bottle with your favorite holiday bake in a festive container for an even greater goodie. Our current go-to holiday treats are our Strawberry Cookies & Cream Truffles—get the recipe here. We especially love them with our Sparkling Rosé.

Don’t have time to make a homemade treat this busy holiday season? You can always shop for some upscale snacks to place beside that special bottle in a gift basket. Some of our favorites to pair with wine are artisanal crackers, Parmesan crisps, Marcona almonds, and dried apricots.

Our wines are now available in stores and restaurants throughout Northern California and Georgia. You can find a retailer near you here.

With every Rescue Dog Wines purchase, your gift keeps giving to animal rescue organizations around the country. We are thrilled to celebrate the holiday season with you.

-Cheers, Blair & Laura
